2022/23 Ghana Premier League matchday 5: Gold Stars v King Faisal preview

Published: 3 years ago
Ghana Premier League

The new Ghana Premier League season is entering matchday five this weekend with nine matches scheduled to be played between Friday, November 4, to Monday, November 7.

The Ghanaian top-flight league campaign resumed from suspension last weekend after an injunction put on the season was dismissed by a Court in Accra.

On Monday, November 7, there will be action at Duns Park when Bibiani Gold Stars welcome King Faisal for an important game.

The visitors are making the trip to very tough grounds after failing to record a single win in the four matches played so far.

King Faisal’s poor start to the season has left the club bottom of the Ghana Premier League.

With four defeats already, things are looking scary for the Kumasi-based club that has marginally escaped relegation in the last Premier League seasons.

The home team, Bibiani Gold Stars are equally not doing so well at the start of the season. The team is one place above the relegation with three points. With a record of one win and three defeats, the team will be equally eager to bag maximum points from the clash against King Faisal.

Predicted scoreline:

Definitely, a tough one to call. While Bibiani Gold Stars have a slight advantage because the team will be playing at home, the hunger from King Faisal should help the team to grab at least a point.

Bibiani Gold Stars 1-1 King Faisal.

Probable starting eleven – Bibiani Gold Stars

Hammand Kalala (G), Yakubu Haqq ©, Empem Dacosta, Evans Owusu, Atta Kusi, Emmanuel Appau, Steven Owusu, Frank Amankwah, Michael Enu, Charles Kamara Gyamfi, Prince Owusu Kwabena.

Probable starting eleven – King Faisal

Adams Abdul Jabal (G), Faridu Joseph, David Oppong Afrane, James Opoku Nyimfah, Samuel Adom Antwi, Joseph Gordon (C), Abdul Latif, Baba Yahaya, Haruna Mohammed, Emmanuel Nketia, Gabriel Osei.

Match details:

The clash between Bibiani Gold Stars and King Faisal will kick off at 3pm at the Duns Park on Monday, November 7.
