The Upper East Regional Football Association (UERFA) will hold its 2026 Ordinary Congress on Thursday, October 29, as the region prepares for the 2026/27 football season.
The statutory meeting will be held at the Bolgatanga Regional house of Chiefs Hall, beginning at 10:00am. Delegates, club representatives and other stakeholders in Northern Region football are expected to attend.
As the Association’s highest decision-making body, the Congress will review UERFA’s work during the past season and consider a range of issues linked to the administration and development of football in the region.
Key items on the agenda
Delegates will examine the Association’s Activity Report, Financial Statements and Auditor’s Report. They will also consider the budget for the new season and review the competitions calendar.
Football development programmes will form part of the deliberations, alongside other matters affecting the running and growth of the game. The meeting is expected to provide members with an opportunity to assess the progress made during the previous campaign and discuss priorities for the season ahead.
The Executive Council, led by Upper East Regional FA Chairman Alhaji Salifu Seidu Zida, will engage clubs and other stakeholders during the Congress. Those discussions will include the challenges facing grassroots football in the region.
In line with the Ghana Football Association Statutes, the relevant Congress documents and agenda have already been sent to members. The distribution is intended to give delegates sufficient time to study the material and prepare for the discussions.
The outcome of the Congress will help shape the 2026/27 regional football season. The Association is expected to announce when its various competitions will begin after the meeting.
