Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo will start for Manchester City against Paris Saint-Germain in their UEFA Champions League match at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Semenyo is part of an attacking line-up that also includes Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki, as Manchester City take on the reigning European champions in their second league-phase fixture of the 2026/27 campaign.
Gianluigi Donnarumma starts in goal against his former club. The defence is made up of Abdukodir Khusanov, captain Ruben Dias, Marc Guehi and Josko Gvardiol.
Elliot Anderson and Enzo Fernandez will form the midfield partnership, with Semenyo and Doku expected to provide width. Cherki will operate in support of Haaland, who leads the attack.
Manchester City arrive at the Etihad Stadium after a notable 3-0 Premier League victory against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. All three goals came after half-time, with Haaland, Doku and Cherki finding the net to preserve the club’s perfect start to the league campaign.
They also began their European campaign with a 2-0 win away to Porto. That result leaves Manchester City in a strong position as they prepare for the visit of Paris Saint-Germain.
Paris Saint-Germain opened their defence of the European title with an emphatic 6-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava. The French side will now face a Manchester City team that has scored five goals in its opening Champions League matches and kept clean sheets in both games.
For Semenyo, the fixture provides an opportunity to make an impact in one of the competition’s most prominent contests. Manchester City will be seeking another victory over Paris Saint-Germain as they continue their league-phase campaign.
Kick-off at the Etihad Stadium is scheduled for 7:00 pm Ghana time.
