Mali has qualified for the AFCON 2025 Round of 16 after securing three draws in Group A.
The team drew 1-1 with Zambia and Morocco, and 0-0 with Comoros, earning them a spot in the knockout stages.
Mali’s undefeated run in the group stage has seen them finish second in Group A with three points, behind Morocco who topped the group with seven points.
Comoros, on the other hand, finished third with two points and were eliminated from the tournament.
Mali’s next match is against the runner-up in Group C, likely to be Tunisia, Tanzania, or Uganda.
The team will be without Amadou Haidara, who received a red card in their match against Comoros.
