Dreams FC fought back from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw against league leaders Samartex in a thrilling Week 22 clash of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
Evans Osei Wusu stunned Dreams FC with two quick goals in the 19th and 22nd minutes, putting Samartex ahead. However, Dreams FC responded swiftly as Agyenim Boateng Mensah found the net in the 24th minute.
The intensity continued in the second half, with both teams making tactical adjustments. Samartex made change in the 47th minute, Emmanuel Boakye Owusu replaced Baba Hamadu Musa.
In an unexpected turn, Samartex defender James Sewornu inadvertently leveled the scoreline with an own goal in the 48th minute. Kwasi Ofosu and Francis Gyetuah replaced Emmanuel Mamah and Gabriel Appiah in the 53rd minute.
Despite efforts from both sides, neither could break the deadlock, leaving the match tied at 2-2.
Dreams FC will take on reigning champions Medeama in their next league game. Samartex will welcome Accra Hearts of Oak.
