Ghana Premier League

Heart of Lions will come up against Real Tamale United (RTU) this weekend during matchday 20.

The game will be played on Sunday, March 10, at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

Here’s a preview of the game.

Form:

Heart of Lions had a difficult time competing in the first half of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

After struggling to win games, the team in the last five matches appear to have found the code to compete in the top-flight league.

In that period, Heart of Lions have recorded three wins, drawn one and lost one.

Unfortunately, those results have not taken the team out of the relegation of the Ghana Premier League table.

The visitors, Real Tamale United are not doing any better.

The team has been the worst in the league since the start of the campaign.

With five wins, three draws, and 11 defeats in the Ghana Premier League, the Tamale-based club is bottom of the standings.

RTU in the last five games have shockingly lost three matches, won just one and drawn the other.

For the team to escape relegation, the side must improve in the second round.

Head-to-head:

The first meeting between RTU and Heart of Lions this season ended in a pulsating 2-2 draw.

Data from the last five meetings has Heart of Lions winning as many as four games.

RTU has yet to win in the last five meetings with the opponent.

Match details.

This weekend’s game between Heart of Lions and RTU will kick off at 3 pm at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday.
