Bibiani Gold Stars picked a 3-1 win over Berekum Chelsea on Sunday at the Dun’s Park in match week 18 of the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League.
The win takes hosts to 13th with 21 points after starting the day on 14th while the visitors are still 6th despite the defeat.
Mezack Afriyie gave the visitors a surprise lead just eight minutes into the game, seeing Berekum Chelsea lead the hosts 1-0.
That lead did not last as Bibiani Gold Stars snatched the equaliser four minutes later through Prince Kwabena Owusu.
The first half ended 1-1 with no further goals from both teams.
After the break, Frank Amankwah scored in the 74th minute to give Bibiani Gold Stars 2-1 lead over Berekum Chelsea before the home side scored late to win the game 3-1.
Bibiani Gold Stars will next be in action on Sunday, March 3, 2024, against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in match week 19 of the Ghana Premier League.
Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea will host Karela United at the Golden City Park the same day.
