The Executive Council of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has scheduled Friday, August 12, 2022 to launch their Top Six tournament.
The Top Six tourney is set to serve as pre-season for clubs who finished top six of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
The launch will take place at the GHALCA secretariat in Accra on Friday at 10:00AM local time.
At the launch, all modalities for the competition will be detailed and made known.
The privileged clubs are meant to use this opportunity as pre-season period ahead of the start of new campaign, thus the Betpawa Premier League.
Hearts of Oak SC, Medeama SC, Bechem United FC, Karela United FC and Great Olympics FC are the participating clubs.
Asante Kotoko SC who clinched the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title was due to partake but withdraw for ‘sporting reasons’. Their place has been taken by Berekum Chelsea FC who finished 7th on the log.
Teams have being group into two with three each.
The tournament will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium and is expected to commence on August 17, 2022.
