Head Coach Yussif Basigi has expressed confidence in the upcoming performance of the Black Princesses at the 13th African Games in Accra 2023.
Basigi, in an interview with ghanafa.org, highlighted the team’s preparation, targeting the ultimate prize, and emphasized the importance of not underestimating any opponent.
The coach stated that the team is focused on a higher aim, viewing the tournament as a crucial preparation towards the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Yussif Basigi discussed the ongoing preparations for the 13th African Games, acknowledging the inclusion of players like Mukarama Abdulai. He mentioned that while some players are yet to join due to commitments with the Black Queens and Ampem Darkoa Ladies, those in camp are working hard. Basigi emphasized the importance of getting the core team together for a successful campaign.
”Preparation is going on well but we are expecting some few players who are with the Black Queens and Ampem Darkoa Ladies to join us. The rest of the players in camp are working very hard and those away are also training and in shape. We are waiting for them to come back so we get them together to get the core of the team.”
