Manchester United midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo is over the moon after receiving his maiden call-up to play for the England senior national team.

The England-born player of Ghanaian descent has today been drafted into the Three Lions squad for the March international break.

Initially, he was invited to play for the England U21 national team.

Reacting to his first England senior national team call-up, Kobbie Mainoo says it’s an honour for him.

“It’s an honour to receive my first senior call-up,” the talented young midfielder shared on his page on Instagram.

Kobbie Mainoo will hope to impress England boss Gareth Southgate during the March international break to stand the chance of making the final Three Lions squad for this year’s European Championship.
