Legon Cities have parted ways with head coach Yaw Acheampong following a string of poor results in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Acheampong took over the reins in January after the resignation of Paa Kwasi Fabin, but his tenure was marked by a series of disappointing performances.
The final straw came when Legon Cities suffered a 1-0 defeat to Basafi, sealing Acheampong’s fate.
With only five games remaining in the season, the club has appointed Tijani Abdul Rahim as the new head coach in a bid to steer the team to safety. Abdul Rahim brings valuable experience to the role, having previously served as an assistant to Maxwell Konadu and as head coach of Young Apostles.
Legon Cities currently sit 17th on the league table with 25 points.
