World Cup Media Accreditation Opens; Ghana Allocated Limited Quota

Published: 1 month ago
GFA

Media accreditation for the upcoming FIFA World Cup officially opened worldwide on Monday, January 26, 2026.

As with previous World Cup tournaments, FIFA has allocated a fixed quota of accreditations to each Member Association for written press and photographers.

The Ghana Football Association has been allocated a total of 12 slots, comprising:

  • 10 accreditations for written press

  • 2 accreditations for photographers

Media practitioners are to note that this quota does not cover broadcasters, including radio and television stations, nor does it apply to broadcast and non-broadcast rights holders of the World Cup.

Journalists who do not fall within the allotted quota are encouraged to register independently on the FIFA Media Hub for non-rights holders, where additional accreditation opportunities may be available. Photographers may also explore the same platform for possible consideration
