Ghana’s all time top scorer Asamoah Gyan has disagreed with referee Ismael Elfath on his decision to award a penalty to Portugal.
Portugal started their World Cup campaign on a winsome note after scoring two-quick goals to beat Ghana 3-2 .
The opener was a penalty with Ronaldo beautifully converting the spot kick to break the deadlock.
Speaking after the game, Gyan, did not share the same assertion with the decision of the referee.
“The penalty decision was poor and soft,” Gyan said on SuperSport.
“I am a striker but what we saw was soft and should not be a penalty,” he added.
Ghana now need a must win when they come up against South Korea on Monday at the Education City Stadium with kick-off scheduled at 13:00GMT.
