Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo says Ghana has the quality to compete with Portugal in the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars will encounter Portugal in the group H opener on Thursday at 16:00GMT at the stadium 974 in Doha Qatar.
Following recent upsets in the competition with Saudi Arabia stunning two-time winners Argentina and Japan beating four-time world champions Germany, there is a sense of optimism in the Ghana camp.
Ahead of the game, the 47-year-old believes his side has what it takes to match up with Portugal.
“We have the quality to compete with Portugal. We have to be very brave going into this match.” Addo said in a press conference.
“We have to be self confident to go into these matches but I think our players are ready.”
Ghana will continue their group H games with South Korea Republic and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.
