Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has expressed optimism ahead of Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Gunners are aiming for a win at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium following their 3-0 victory in the first leg, thanks to a brace from Declan Rice and a goal from Mikel Merino.
Partey emphasized that their target is to secure a victory in Spain.
“I think we’ve experienced this many times when we play here and I think it’s not going to be something different,” he said.
“We just have to be confident with the ball and try to play our game.
“We all know what we have to do. We have to go there with the mentality to win. We want to win every game. And I think we have to play our game, be confident with the ball and also try to find our weaknesses and keep attacking them.”
Partey was instrumental in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.
In the build-up to the return leg on Wednesday, Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw against Brentford on Saturday in the English Premier League, where the Ghanaian was on the scoresheet.
In all competitions this season, Partey has played 30 games, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
