On Sunday afternoon, Werder Bremen and Freiburg clash at the Weserstadion as the visitors look to continue their quest to claim a Champions League spot in the Bundesliga.
Ole Werner’s team continued their inconsistent form last time out in the Bundesliga, as they drew 2-2 with Mainz. The draw means that Werder Bremen have now failed to win in their previous five league outings.

They have also won just once in their last eight Bundesliga matches.
The recent poor run of league form has meant that Werder has very little to play for going into the final stretch of the Bundesliga campaign. Their recent league games have certainly been entertaining, as Werder’s last six games have produced over 2.5 goals.
Bremen’s league form on home soil has been poor lately, as they have lost three of their last four matches at the Weserstadion. They have also conceded at least two goals in all three recent home defeats.
The team from the Black Forest have experienced a recent mixed record in the Bundesliga. However, a 1-0 home defeat against Bayern Munich last time out ended a seven-game unbeaten run for Christian Streich’s team in the German top flight.
However, on the flip side, the defeat means that Freiburg has now won just one of their previous six games in the Bundesliga, with four of their last six matches ending in draws.
They are currently in fifth place in the table but just a point adrift of fourth-place RB Leipzig in the race for a top-four spot.
Freiburg has been poor on their travels of late in the Bundesliga, as although they are unbeaten in their last three away games in the German top flight, they have also won just once in their previous six league matches on their travels.
What does Forebet predict?
Forebet predicts that this game will produce a highly entertaining and high-scoring draw, denting Freiburg’s chances of returning to the Champions League spots.
