The head coach of Los Angeles Football Club LA Galaxy Head Coach Greg Vanney says the club is looking to quickly integrate Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil into their squad.

This statement follows Paintsil’s recent transfer from the Belgium Pro League’s KRC Genk to the Major League Soccer club, LA Galaxy.

Vanney emphasized Paintsil’s potential to significantly impact games, citing his dynamic playing style both on and off the ball. With the 2024 season just underway, Paintsil’s addition is deemed crucial to LA Galaxy’s aspirations.

“We are pleased to add a player of Joseph’s quality to the LA Galaxy,” stated Greg Vanney. “Joseph is a dynamic winger with and without the ball who possesses the capacity to change games instantly. We look forward to integrating him into our group quickly.”

Paintsil joins LA Galaxy on a four-year contract, boasting an impressive track record in Europe with notable stints at K.R.C. Genk (2019-23), MKE Ankaragücü (2020-21), and Ferencvárosi TC (2017-18). His stats speak volumes, with 61 goals and 35 assists across 228 matches.

During the 2022-23 campaign, Paintsil excelled, contributing 32 goals (18 goals, 14 assists) in 39 matches for Genk.

His standout performance in the 2022-23 Belgian Pro League season, where he notched 28 goal contributions (14 goals, 14 assists) in 30 league appearances, played a pivotal role in Genk’s qualification for the 2023-24 Europa Conference League.
