Former Asante Kotoko NCC chairman, Kwaku Amponsah has revealed that eight spiritual men were consulted to assist the team in winning games in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
He revealed that an amount of GHS20,000 was spent on engaging these spiritual experts for various operations.
Asante Kotoko clinched the title last season under head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, their first in eight years.
“Last season, a lot of effort was put into Asante Kotoko Sporting Club’s games for the team to win the GH₵15,000 to GH₵20,000 was shelled out on operations for the team with the help of eight (8) strong spiritual men,” Chairman Kwaku Amponsah told Ezra FM in an interview.
The Porcupine Warriors are eight points behind leaders Aduana Stars on the league standings.
