Young Apostles winger Hussein Issah was delighted after playing a key role in his side’s emphatic 3–0 victory over Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League, but admitted the scoreline could have been even higher.
In the Week 21 fixture of the 2025/26 season, Issah grabbed a brace, while Kingsford Agyemang added the third goal to secure all three points for the hosts in a dominant performance.
Speaking in his post-match interview, the exciting winger revealed that the team’s motivation and determination before kickoff played a crucial role in the outcome.
“We knew the game was not going to be easy, so we had to motivate ourselves before the match, and that helped us to secure the victory. We have a -6 goal difference, so we were determined to score more. We should have scored more, but we couldn’t.”
Issah, however, expressed confidence that the team will improve their finishing in upcoming matches.
“Next time we will do better to convert more chances. We did well, and at the end of the day, we have secured all three points.”
The convincing win lifts Young Apostles to 13th place on the Ghana Premier League table, while Eleven Wonders remain rooted at the bottom of the standings as their struggles continue.
