‘We did not disgrace ourselves’ – Samartex Boss despite draw with Raja

FC Samatex head coach, Amadu Nurudeen, has taken a positive angle following his team’s 2-2 draw against Raja Casablanca in their CAF Champions League campaign, insisting that his side “did not disgrace” themselves.

Despite his disappointment with the result, Nurudeen expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure qualification to the next stage of the competition.

“I’m not a happy person but I think we didn’t disgrace ourselves,” he said.

“During the second half, it’s like we just dishes out to them to equalise because we didn’t defend well in that situation.”

“We were wasteful infront of goal, we are aware that when you make minor mistakes, they punish you for that but we are going to fight back, now we’ve seen them.”

The Ghana Premier League champions are set to travel to Morocco on Saturday for the return fixture at the Stade Mohamed V stadium.
