‘We can do better’- Great Olympics coach Yaw Preko wants more from playing-body

Great Olympics head coach Yaw Preko is not content with the performance of his side and believes the playing-body can perform “better” despite the victory over Bechem United on the opening day of the 2022-23 betPawa Premier League.

Samuel Ashie Quaye netted in the second half of the match to hand Preko a winning start as Olympics boss.

But the 48-year-old was expecting more from his side.

“I think we can do better, we played against a very good side we know they can keep the ball and hold the ball so we were thinking to beat them on counter.“ Preko said in a post match interview.

“…our boys weren’t themselves but we planned to get the victory.”

Coach Preko took over Great Olympics after the exit of Annor Walker to Samatex 1996. His next task is to prepare for the clash against Hearts of Oak in the ‘Ga Mantse’ derby at the Accra Sports Stadium.
