Asante Kotoko are negotiating with Richmond Lamptey for contract extension, according to administrative manager, Emmanuel Dasoberi.
Lamptey has been outstanding to the Porcupine Warriors team since joining from Inter Allies in 2021.
His impressive performances earned him a place in former coach Chris Hughton’s Black Stars squad that represented Ghana at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
“Negotiation is still ongoing between Kotoko and Lamptey’s camp and we hope he extends his contract before the end of the season, I have personal relationship with him and he is a listening guy so let hope we sort things out,” Dasoberi told Kessben media.
The 27-year-old midfielder has made 16 appearances with five assists in the 2023/24 season for the Porcupine Warriors.
Kotoko SC are 8th on the league standings with 32 points after 22 games in the ongoing Ghanaian top-flight campaign.
