The head coach of Ghana’s U20 women’s national team, coach Yusif Basigi has described the final battle against Nigeria in the ongoing African Games as a “cracker”.
Ghana set up the final against their foes after defeating Senegal 3-1 in their semi final on Monday night.
“Playing Nigeria I know off the pitch we are best friends but on the pitch it is a different game ball altogether”, coach Basigi told the media ahead of the big game.
“We watched them play and they also watched us play. Nigeria would like to avenge the defeat and we also like to consolidate our dominance so it is going to be a cracker. It’s going to be a tough game. At the end of the day, we see what happens.” He added.
The Black Princesses beat Nigeria’s U20 women’s on penalties to win the WAFU U20 Women’s Championship in 2023.
