The Black Starlets have advanced to the semi-finals of the WAFU Zone B U-17 with a 3-0 triumph over Togo on Friday.
Goals from Pius Adua, Abdul Razak Salim and Collins Agyapong at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium propelled Ghana to the last four.
Ghana put up a strong showing in the first half but could not breakthrough the defence of the Sparrow Hawks.
After incessant pressure, the Togolese defence disintegrated and conceded the opener in the 54th minute scored by Pius Adua from close range.
Paa Kwesi Fabin’s charges doubled their lead 23 minutes later when Abdul Razak used his strength to get the better of his marker before slotting the ball home. Captain Collins Agyapong dispatched a penalty ten minutes from time to give Ghana an emphatic victory.
It could have been more as Baba Salifu and Andrews Appiah were denied by the woodwork after the break.
Ghana now stands a chance of qualifying for next year’s African Cup of Nations.
