VIDEO: Thermal camera confirms many people still alive under the rubble where Christian Atsu lives

A thermal camera has confirmed that many people are still alive under the rubble at the site where Christian Atsu’s home building once stood.

The device showed that over 1,000 victims of the earthquake that hit Turkey on Monday morning are still trapped under the ruins.

The Ghanaian international has been missing since the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Atsu was in action on Sunday for Hatayspor, scoring a goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time in a 1-0 victory over Kasimpasa.

A search and rescue operation is currently in progress to find the former Chelsea star.

The death toll in southern Turkey and northern Syria continues to rise following the two earthquakes which have wrecked towns and smaller settlements across a large region.
