Victory Club Warriors go top of Zone One A with win over Wa Power

Victory Club Warriors recorded their third consecutive wins in the Access Bank Division One League as they secured all the points over Wa Power to move to the top of the log in Zone 1A. Richard Kwabena Agyei scored in the 40th minute to give Victory Club Warriors a 1-0 win on the road. Victory Club Warriors are level on 28 points with Techiman Heroes Sporting Club but hold a a superior goal difference over their closest rivals in the Zone.

Meanwhile former Premier league side, Tamale City pip Techiman Heroes 1-0 in a high tempo game at the Walewale to keep eye the pressure on the leaders in Zone 1A. Yaro Isaac scored the only goal of the game in the second minute to give Tamale City all the spoils.

In Berekum – Berekum City pip Young Apostles 1-0 to move out of the relegation zone in Zone 1B. Shadrach Kofi Fosu scored the winner in the 31st minute to give his side all the points. James Abu of Berekum City was named the player of the match following his outstanding display on the day. Berekum City are now 6th in Zone One B with 17 points after 16 rounds of games in the Access Bank Division One League.
