On Saturday evening, Union Berlin hosts RB Leipzig at the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei, in what could be an explosive Bundesliga clash.
Union Berlin
The team from the German capital has made a solid start to the new Bundesliga campaign, picking up four points from their opening two league matches.
Urs Fischer’s team followed up a 3-1 win in the derby against Hertha on the opening weekend with a slightly less inspiring goalless draw at Mainz last time out.
However, the draw at Mainz stretched Union’s unbeaten run in the German top-flight to nine matches, seven of which of have resulted in victories.
Fischer’s team has been strong on home soil of late, as they are now seven league matches unbeaten on home soil, having recorded five wins and two draws.
A key to Union’s recent decent home form has been their attacking efforts, as they have scored at least two goals in three of their last four home matches in the Bundesliga.
RB Leipzig
Die Roten Bullen has made a mixed start to the new Bundesliga campaign, drawing both of their league matches in season 2022/23. Domenico Tedesco’s team kicked off the season with a 1-1 draw against Stuttgart before a 2-2 draw against Koln last time out, a game that saw Dominik Szoboszlai dismissed.
Timo Werner also made his second debut in the clash, having completed his return from Chelsea.
The two draws at the beginning of the season mean that RB Leipzig has now won just one of their last six games in the Bundesliga.
RB Leipzig has also failed to win any of their last three away games in the Bundesliga. However, on the flip-side, they have also lost just one of their previous eight league matches on their travels.
What does Forebet predict?
Forebet predicts that this game will produce a high-scoring and highly entertaining draw, leaving Leipzig still looking for their first league win of the season.
