Morocco’s senior women’s national team, the Atlas Lionesses, are set to host Ghana’s Black Queens in an international friendly on February 21 at the Pere Jego Stadium in Casablanca.
This match is part of Morocco’s preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament
For the Black Queens, this game will be their first since losing to Japan in a friendly in July 2024.
They missed out on friendlies against Senegal and Tunisia last year due to financial constraints
Also, the encounter with Morocco will also mark the debut of Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren, who replaced Nora Hauptle last month.
Bjorkegren will use this game to assess his squad as Ghana prepares for its first WAFCON appearance since 2018
