Almeria and Valencia will face off on Sunday in a vital La Liga six-point relegation matchup. Valencia go into round 28 in 17th place. A 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano last week sent Los Che out of the bottom three.
However, Valencia are only out of the relegation zone thanks to goal difference. Almeria will be desperate to defeat Valencia on Sunday. Los Rojiblancos are 19th in the standings and level on 27 points with Valencia.

Almeria conceded 12 more goals than Valencia in their opening 27 matches. Their poor goal difference has them in the bottom three.
The reverse La Liga fixture between Almeria and Valencia finished 2-2. Valencia’s Justin Kluivert opened the scoring on 48 minutes, but Almeria levelled the game six minutes later thanks to a goal from Chumi.
Valencia again went ahead thanks to a goal from Jose Gaya just after the hour-mark. However, with 15 minutes left on the clock, Almeria’s Francisco Portillo equalised, as the match ended in a draw at Mestalla.
Valencia took seven points from the last 18 points on offer in the league. They have struggled to score all season long. Just three goals were scored in Valencia’s last six matches. Valencia have just 29 goals in 27 La Liga games in total this term.
Los Che are one of the worst away teams in La Liga. They have a record of 1W-3D-9L on the road, with eight goals scored and 19 conceded.
Almeria picked up only five points from the last six games. They were outscored 13-7. Almeria drew their last two games in La Liga. However, they are winless in four straight matches.
Los Rojiblancos are a decent home team. They have a record of 7W-2D-5L at home, with 21 goals for and 18 against.
Almeria coach Rubi will be without El Bilal Toure following a ligament injury. Defender Sergio Akieme could miss the match after suffering a hamstring strain.
Valencia manager Ruben Baraja has only one player in the treatment room ahead of Sunday’s clash with Almeria. Goalkeeper Jaume Domenech is out until the end of the season with an ACL injury.
Sunday’s match is a relegation six-pointer between Almeria and Valencia. A win would improve either side’s chances of staying in La Liga. However, Sunday’s match should finish in a 2-2 draw, just like their previous meeting in La Liga.
