Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper Gidios Aseako has praised the Black Satellites’ mindset and preparation ahead of their pivotal showdown with the Central African Republic (CAR) in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
“The experience in Egypt has been good,” said Aseako, who has impressed in both of Ghana’s group matches.
“We have to win and top the group. The mentality of the team is strong, and we are determined to win tomorrow and go all the way.”
Currently second in Group C on four points—tied with DR Congo but behind on goal difference—Ghana enters the final group game with qualification for the quarterfinals hanging in the balance.
A victory would not only secure progression but also send a strong signal to the rest of the continent.
