Host nation Egypt narrowly edged Ghana in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on penalty shootout 5-4 after the game ended 2-2 in normal time.
Despite the defeat, Ghana’s winger, Sulemana, was a bright spark for the Satellites, constantly running rings around Egypt’s defence.
Although coming on as a second half substitute after 10 minutes in the second half, the pacy winger was deadpan direct on the wings.
Sulemana was rewarded for his play as he scored the equaliser for Ghana with virtually the last kick of the game from the spot.
His performances did not go unnoticed as CAF adjudged him Man of the match – his second time receiving the award in the competition.
Ghana failed to reach the semi-finals of the U20 AFCON, which in turn means Ghana will play no part in the U20 World Cup
