Black Satellites head coach Desmond Ofei says Ghana must rise to the occasion as they prepare to face host nation Egypt in the quarter-finals of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
A place at the FIFA U-20 World Cup is at stake, with only the semi-finalists guaranteed spots.
Ghana is hoping to return to the global stage for the first time since 2015.
“We are not only playing a team; we are playing the nation, Desmond said.
“We are playing against history, so we have to be at our very best tomorrow to make sure that at the end of 90 minutes plus extra time, we are the winners of the game.”
The Satellites are unbeaten in the competition with two wins and a draw in the group stage.
