Troyes set to end winless run against Auxerre

On Friday night, Troyes host Auxerre at the Stade de l’Aube in Ligue One as the home team looks to get back to winning ways in the French top-flight.

The home team heads into this clash on the back of a five-game winless run in Ligue One. Last time out, Troyes suffered a 4-3 defeat at reigning French champions PSG.

The game was another high-scoring one for Bruno Irles’ team, as it means that five of their last six matches have produced over 2.5 goals.

Troyes’ attacking prowess has played a big part in those high-scoring games, as they have scored at least two goals in five of their last six matches in Ligue One.

They are unbeaten in five matches in Ligue One, having drawn their last four home matches in the French top flight. However, Troyes have now won just one of their previous seven games on home soil.

The visitors are just two points above the relegation zone after a poor start to the new league campaign. A 1-0 win over Ajaccio last time out ended a run of eight league games without a win for Auxerre.

They had also suffered six defeats in that eight-game winless streak. The match against Ajaccio saw Auxerre keep their first clean sheet in the last nine league outings.

That defensive improvement was needed, as Auxerre has conceded at least two goals in six of their previous nine matches in Ligue One.

Auxerre head into this game on the back of a four-game losing streak on their travels in Ligue One. To make matters worse, they have also conceded at least two goals in each defeat.

What does Forebet predict?
