Former Ghana international, Frimpong Manso has questioned the commitment level of the Black Stars players stating that they play like a “division two team”.
Ghana had been far from convincing in recent years and further concerns were raised after defeats to Mexico and the USA in this month’s international friendlies.
In an interview on Time FM, Manso has attributed the downturn in form to the players’ reluctance in games.
“These current Black Star players are not committed and not willing to sacrifice for the nation.
” They play as a division two side and can’t even defend balls.”
Chris Hughton and his lads will face Madagascar and Comoros in next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars have been placed in Group B of the 2023 AFCON and will face Egypt, Mozambique, and Cape Verde in their quest for success in the tournament.
