Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey returned from injury with an assist as Brighton and Hove Albion’s defeat Crystal Palace on Saturday in the English Premier League.
Brighton recorded a 4-1 victory against their visitors at the American Express Community’s Stadium.
Lamptey’s well-placed cross set up Jack Hinshelwood to extend Brighton’s lead in the 33rd minute, doubling the advantage after the opener by Lewis Dunk.
Facundo Buonanotte added a third goal for Brighton but Jean-Philippe Mateta reduced the deficit just 11 minutes after the hour mark.
but Joao Pedro put the game to bed with an 84th-minute goal to win it for the Albion’s.
Tamptey will hope to have a run of games under his belt to continue his fine form.
