Trainer of Sudanese National team, Kwasi Appiah shared his vision for the team’s World Cup 2026 campaign.
Appiah, a former Ghana defender and coach, believes reaching the World Cup would “transform” his players’ mindset.
The former Ghana International coaching career spans over two decades, with experience in African football.
He led Ghana to the 2014 World Cup and is now determined to repeat the feat with Sudan.
“We started this campaign with a clear objective: to amass points at home,” Appiah said in an interview with FIFA .
“Our results have given us an advantage, but we must focus on each game as it comes.”
Appiah praised the Sudanese federation for providing excellent conditions and emphasized the importance of African coaches leading African teams.
He believes Sudan can achieve World Cup qualification and make a statement on the global stage.
