Ghanaian forward Zubairu Ibrahim’s impressive season with Partizan has been put on hold due to a serious knee injury sustained during a match against Radnicki in the Serbian Super Liga.
The 20-year-old’s promising run was cut short when he picked up the injury during matchday 30, where Partizan won 2-0 against Radnicki.
Zubairu played for only 35 minutes before being replaced by Young Jun Goh due to the injury setback.
He was stretchered off the field and immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
After undergoing successful surgery, Zubairu is expected to spend time on the sidelines to recover fully.
Despite this setback, the young forward remains optimistic about his return to the pitch, expressing gratitude to Partizan fans for their support.
In a heartfelt message, Zubairu said, “Hello, Grobari! Thank you for your messages and support. The surgery was successful, I’m feeling good now, and I’ll come back stronger than ever! Love you all! Your black-and-white family is waiting for you! 🖤🤍”
Zubairu has been a key player for Partizan this season, making 29 appearances in the league and scoring nine goals while providing three assists.
