SSV Jahn Regensburg signs winger Davis Asante from Werder Bremen II

SSV Jahn Regensburg has secured the signing of 22-year-old Ghanaian-German winger Davis Asante from Werder Bremen II.

The versatile attacker has signed a contract until 2027, stepping up from the Regionalliga to Germany’s 3rd-tier league.

Asante impressed at Bremen’s reserve side with his pace, creativity, and versatility across the front line. Regensburg, currently rebuilding after relegation from the 2. Bundesliga, sees him as a key piece in their push for promotion.

“We are thrilled to have Davis on board,” said the club’s sporting director. “His ability to play in multiple positions will be invaluable.

The move marks a major step in Asante’s young career and underlines Regensburg’s ambition to return to the upper tiers of German football.
