The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced coaching reassignments to optimize national team performance.
Desmond Ofei, current head coach of the Black Satellites and assistant coach to the Black Stars, will step down from his role with the Black Satellites after the WAFU B Championship.
Ofei will focus exclusively on the Black Stars, working alongside head coach Otto Addo.
This move follows Ofei’s recent quarterfinals exit with the Black Satellites at the U20 AFCON, where Ghana missed out on a spot at the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup.
In contrast, his involvement with the Black Stars has yielded promising results, including a successful March International campaign.
The GFA’s technical restructuring plan aims to streamline roles, eliminate scheduling conflicts, and create a more efficient framework for national team development.
This strategic decision demonstrates the GFA’s commitment to improving Ghana’s football landscape and achieving international success.
