Spezia will meet with Bologna this weekend as the away side looks to get their first win of the season after a dreadful run of form early on with Spezia so far recording one win in the league ahead of a meeting at the Stadio Alberto Picco.
It hasn’t been the worst start to the season for the home outfit here and they will be pleased at racking up four points from the 12 so far.

Of course, this is far from commendable, but given how their only losses have been to the potential title challengers of the 2022/23 season, they can hang their heads high for now.
What’s more, after finishing just six points above the drop zone last season, a gap of two points is not so bad after four games.
They do, however, need to get another win on the board if they are to keep their heads above water early on. So far, Spezia have managed to beat only Empoli in the league, as M’Bala Nzola scored the game’s only goal that day.
Spezia did also have only two shots on target in the game from nine efforts at home, and they have looked weak once again going forward.
A 2-2 draw with Sassuolo would also come over the weekend, as Simone Bastoni scored, before a goal from Nzola from the penalty spot made the game finish 2-2. Albin Ekdal was sent off that day and he can now return to the side after a one-game ban.
Spezia’s two defeats so far have been to Inter Milan and Juventus, where across both games, the club had just three shots on target and conceded five goals without any of their own.
As for Bologna, they managed to register another 1-1 draw in midweek as Mark Arnautovic’s goal was enough to get a point after a late equaliser from Salernitana at the Renato Dall-Ara.
This comes off the back of a 2-0 loss for the club away to AC Milan, which ultimately keeps them down in 16th ahead of this game.
The two can barely be separated in Serie A this season, because despite the win for Spezia on the opening day against Empoli, they are ultimately just two points ahead and in fact lost the same amount of games as Bologna.
Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals with goals barely coming in for either side so far.
