Spezia are unbeaten in five straight Serie A games ahead of Sunday’s home fixture against Roma. The Eagles are 15th in the Serie A standings but nine points separate them from the relegation zone.

Roma are seventh in the Serie A standings ahead of the weekend. The Giallorossi are also on a good run of form leading up to the fixture. Jose Mourinho’s team is just three points off the Champions League qualification places.

Sunday’s game is the first match of the season between Spezia and Roma. The Giallorossi are unbeaten in four straight games versus Spezia. Spezia did manage two wins and a draw against Roma in their last six matches in all competitions.

Spezia took nine points from the last 18 points on offer in the league. They scored seven goals and conceded six times across the last six matches. The Eagles are unbeaten in three straight matches at home, with all three ending as draws.

Roma also took nine points from the last 18 points on offer in Serie A. Three of the Giallorossi’s last five games ended as draws.

Roma scored only seven times in the last six games while conceding five goals. Mourinho’s team drew their last two games in Serie A ahead of the week.

Mourinho goes into the game with no fresh injury issues. Paulo Dybala leads Roma in goals in Serie A with seven in 12 appearances.

Striker Tammy Abraham isn’t having a strong season in front of goal in his second campaign in Italy. He has scored four times in 18 appearances.

Spezia coach Luca Gotti will be without Dimitrios Nikoalou due to a suspension. Goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet is ruled out until March with a ligament injury. Spezia are led in goals by M’Bala Nzola with nine goals in 18 appearances.

Nzola’s nine goals has him tied for second in Serie A in goals scored. The forward has tallied 53% of Spezia’s goals this season in Serie A.

The Eagles have struggled in front of the goal when Nzola has struggled to find the back of the net.

Spezia and Roma have combined for four red cards across their last six games in all competitions. The Eagles picked up three of those red cards and Sunday’s game could see another sending-off.

Spezia and Roma have both drawn three of their last five games in Serie A. The teams should draw on Sunday with the game ending 1-1. Roma saw five of their last six games in Serie A end with under 2.5 goals.
