Slovakia to Keep the Pressure High in League C by Beating Azerbaijan

2459

The Nations League action continues this Thursday with Azerbaijan and Slovakia set to clash at the Štadión Antona Malatinského with the two nations looking to keep the pressure up on Kazakhstan in this group.

As of now, it is Kazakhstan who are sitting top of the Nations League League C Group 3 division with the league leaders on 10 points from four games and unbeaten so far.

Slovakia are the closest to them on six points, as they have managed to lose a game so far and have a gap of four points to overturn here if they want to earn promotion into League B at some stage.

Milan Skriniar and co. did lose to Kazakhstan in the last game in a match where they did draw level with the group leaders at one stage.

fWhat’s more, some of the star names for Slovakia have been struggling at times this season on the domestic front.

The captain, Skriniar, has so far let in eight goals from seven games for Inter Milan this season and he is now going to need to be at his best here if the captain of the country is to guide his nation to a priceless three points here.

Azerbaijan have also lost to Kazakhstan this Nations League season, with them then drawing 0-0 against the bottom-placed Belarus.

They did then manage to beat Belarus 2-0 back on home soil in their last Nations League outing, but with a 1-0 loss to Slovakia at home the last time these two met, it is hard to justify how they can win here.

Slovakia also lost to Kazakhstan on matchday two, but with them managing to beat Belarus 1-0 in the opening game, Francesco Calzona’s men do have something to fight for here.

Forebet predicts this to be quite an easy game for Slovakia. They have shown their class at times in 2022 and only narrowly sit behind Kazakhstan by a few games where they could have got more out of it.

Forebet predicts a win here for Slovakia and for the game to see under 2.5 goals as they look to keep the pressure up on Kazakhstan at the top of the table.
