Although the international break is in full swing, Spain’s Segunda Division remains in action. On Saturday, fellow strugglers Huesca and Leganes meet in Aragon.

As we head into Matchday 7, only three points separate fifteenth-place Huesca and nineteenth-place Leganes.

With last-place Mirandes sitting just two points behind Leganes, both sides will be eager to claim all three points in order to move up the table this weekend.

Huesca have only managed to win two of their six league games this season, registering one draw and three losses.

It is worth noting that Huesca have lost three of their previous five league outings, conceding over 1.5 goals on all three occasions.

That said, Huesca have lost just one of their previous 11 home league games – highlighting their strength on home soil.

Although Huesca have made an indifferent start to the season, they can take confidence from the fact that Leganes are in an even worse position.

Indeed, Leganes have won just one of their six league encounters this term – recording one draw and four defeats.

Only last-place Mirandes have picked up fewer wins than Leganes, while only second-bottom Malaga have suffered more defeats.

Having scored a measly three goals across their opening six games, Leganes have the second-worst offensive record in the division.

Not only have Leganes lost each of their last three away league games, but they have also won just one of their previous nine.

Given that Leganes have failed to score in any of their past three away league outings, they will almost certainly struggled to find the back of the net on Saturday.

Head-to-head: Huesca and Leganes have faced each other eight times since 2013, producing four Leganes wins, three Huesca wins and one draw.

Five of the previous eight meetings between Huesca and Leganes have dished up under 2.5 goals, meaning we should see a low-scoring clash this time around.

Team news: Huesca have no injury absentees, meaning head coach Cuco Ziganda has a full-strength squad at his disposal.

Leganes are also injury-free at the moment. Given that only three players have scored this term, Leganes’ attackers will need to up their game.

When you couple the low-scoring nature of this fixture with the current form of these two sides, all the signs point towards a tight clash on Saturday.

Forbet predicts that Huesca will claim a low-scoring victory over Leganes, keeping a clean sheet in the process.
