Sassuolo will be in search of win number four this Serie A season when they play hosts to Hellas Verona and the Mapei Stadium this weekend with the club sitting inside the top half and right on the heels of Juventus and Inter Milan directly above them in the league table.

Sassuolo have had a very topsy-turvy time in October and they come into this game with a big point to prove in Serie A to the rest of the top half of the table.

As of now, despite sitting just one place behind Juventus and two behind Inter Milan, the club are four points behind the Old Lady and six behind Inter.

Sassuolo heare now on a two-game losing run as well, however, having lost to Inter 2-1 and then Atalanta 2-1 as well.

This came not long after hammering Salernitana 5-0, where the club saw five different goalscorers get in on the act in what was easily their best performance of the season.

On the other hand, it was just their second win since mid-August, having edged past Torino 1-0 in Turin just before the international break as Agustin Alvarez scored with second left on the clock away from home.

Back at the Mapei Stadium where they have won twice already, there is great hope Sassuolo can start to move forward here and put pressure on Juventus above them.

Against a Hellas Verona side sitting in the relegation zone, the club must win here if they are to ramp up the heat on those above them.

It’s been a struggle since the beginning of the season for Verona and they only sit ahead of Cremonese and Sampdoria just below them in the relegation zone based on the fact that both those sides have failed to win a single Serie A game this season.

Verona, however, have now lost a worrying five games on the bounce, as Lazio, Fiorentina, Udinese, Salernitana and AC Milan have all beaten them in this time where 10 goals have been conceded and only three scored of their own.

Oddly enough, the only win so far for Verona to boast about has been against the winless last-placed Sampdoria, as they managed to edge past them in a 1-0 win.

Sassuolo should make easy work of this game, given how poor Verona have been.

Forebet predicts a win here for the home side and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
