On Sunday morning, Salernitana hosts Torino at the Stadio Arechi in Serie A as the visitors look to continue their recent decent league form in the Italian top-flight.

The home team kicked off 2023 with a 2-1 home defeat against reigning champions Milan. Not only did it mean that the home team had suffered three straight league defeats, but it also meant that they were winless in four games in the Italian top flight.

Davide Nicola’s team have struggled in defence of late, conceding at least two goals in each of their last four league matches.

Their recent poor league form has Salernitana languishing in 15th place in the table. However, they are also eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Salernitana’s recent home form in Serie A has been poor, as they have won just two of their last six league games on home soil in the Italian top flight.

The visitors are currently in ninth place in the table and eight points adrift of the league’s top six. Il Toro heads into this clash on the back of just one win in their last six matches in the Italian top flight, having gone three games unbeaten.

Last time out in Serie A, the visitors drew 1-1 at home to Verona. The game was the third straight Torino league match to produce under 2.5 goals.

Torino have been poor travellers of late in the Italian top-flight, having won just once in their last seven home league outings. To make matters worse, the visitors have lost four of their previous six league matches on their travels.

A lack of clean sheets has been one of the reasons for their recent away form in Serie A, as they have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 league matches on their travels.

What does Forebet predict?

Forebet predicts that Torino will record a victory in a high-scoring encounter to stretch their unbeaten run in Serie A to four league matches.
