Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru could be on the move after Anderlecht revealed interest from clubs in Denmark during the ongoing transfer window.
The 28-year-old has again been omitted from the club’s plans, missing out on the 29-man squad heading to Spain for a mid-season training camp.
His continued absence has intensified speculation over his future at the Belgian giants.
Sporting director Olivier Renard is now faced with key decisions as Anderlecht reshape their squad in January.
Ashimeru was informed before the start of the campaign that he was no longer part of the first-team setup.
Since then, the former WAFA SC midfielder has been training and featuring with Anderlecht’s U23 side in Belgium’s second-tier league.
Despite limited exposure, he has managed to get on the scoresheet once while maintaining his fitness.
Ashimeru joined Anderlecht in 2021 and remains under contract until 2027, leaving the club with options on how to handle his situation.
