Herve Renard says his future as Zambia coach will be decided after the September 6 clash against Ghana.
The Frenchman said at a press briefing in Lusaka on Wednesday that they are allegedly some people conspiring against his work in Zambia.
Renard said knew that the knives were even out for him had he lost the 2013 COSAFA Cup that Zambia lifted on July after a 2-0 over Zimbabwe in Ndola.
“We have another big rendezvous in September and maybe after this game in September I will decide what I will do with my future this country,” Renard said and who has a year left on his current deal.
Zambia must beat Ghana in Kumasi in the two sides’ 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier to advance to the final third round playoff for a place in the Brazil finals.
The Black Stars lead Group D on 12 points, one more than Zambia heading into their final pool fixture.
Recently, Renard came under-fire from Zanaco coach Keagan Mumba for his 2014 CHAN and 2013 COSAFA Cup nationwide selection process that he described as moribund and hatched in a tavern.Mumba was later slapped with a three month ban for bringing the game into disrepute that ends in August.
“I think there are some people in this country have targeted to destroy me because they have their own reasons,” Renard said.
