Princess coach wary of SA threat in U20 WWC qualifier

Ghana’s Under-20 women’s team coach Robert Sackey insists his side’s 2012 FIFA Under-20 World Cup qualifier against South Africa is not a done deal.

The Black Princesses hold a healthy 2-0 advantage from the first leg in South Africa ahead of the return encounter in Accra this weekend.

Sackey in eschewing any sign of complacency says his team is well of the threat posed by their opponent despite holding a significant upper hand.

“It is not a done deal. I don’t think South Africa will come here and just lay low for us,” he said.

“It is going to be a tough battle for us and I have already forgotten about the win in South Africa.

“We are going to prepare as if the next game is a final and I think the players know very much what is at stake and are very determined to get through.

“With hard work, determination and prayers I don’t think we will fail.”

Ghana are looking to grab one of two African slots for the finals to be staged in Japan in August.
