Former Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong has blamed the clubs recent performances on the players’ lack of experience.
The Kumasi based outfit’s form has taken a nose dive since the commencement of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors have picked up just a draw and lost six of their last seven league fixtures.
A run of results that have landed them at the 11th position on the table with 33 points.
In an interview with Guide Radio Frimpong opined that Asante Kotoko’s problems is centered on players inexperience. “I watched Kotoko play against Nations FC, and I noticed that some of the players lack the experience to handle certain situations effectively,” he elaborated.
“For example, former Kotoko player Prince Acquah, who was playing for Nations FC, didn’t seem intimidated by the current Kotoko players because he has been through similar challenges.”
“So I will also attribute the recent performance of the team to inexperience of most of the players. There are good players but most of them are inexperienced and have not seen things like this before.” he added.
