Philip Boakye gets Futsal head Coach appointment

Philip Boakye has been appointed by the Executive Council as Head Coach of the Futsal national team.

Philip Boakye is the head coach of Futsal Premier League club AMG with 7 years experience in Futsal and Mini Football. He led AMG to the second place in the 2023 Futsal Premier League has been working with Futsal clubs to compete in tournaments in Malaysia, Nigeria and Cyprus.

Boakye is expected to put together a strong team for the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cote D’Ivoire in February this year. He will be assisted by Victor Ayittey, while, Abigail Ocansey works as Team Manager.

Ghana will host the first leg of the qualifiers in Accra on the weekend of 2,3,4 February before traveling to Abidjan for the 2nd leg scheduled for 9,10,11, February 2024.
